The New England Aquarium is home to thousands of aquatic animals, from the giant Pacific octopus to Northern fur seals to little blue penguins. They offer a wide range of exhibits, including a shark and ray touch tank and the Giant Ocean Tank, a four-story coral reef featuring hundreds of Caribbean animals. In addition, they have an IMAX theatre and run whale watch boat excursions in partnership with Boston Harbor Cruises from April through November.

To use Library discount, reserve the pass for the day you want to visit the Aquarium and print your library coupon. Or you may request us to print it for you, and then pick up your coupon at the NTL. You may pick up the pass up to seven days before your visit. Then, call the Aquarium reservations line at 617-973-5206 to make your timed appointment. Please note that the Library pass does not guarantee you a timed appointment on the date of your reservation.

Pass admits up to 4 people of any age at 50% off regular admission per person. Children under the age of 3 are not included in the admission count and are always admitted free. Library passes may not be used in conjunction with school or group visits, nor be applied towards Aquarium programs, IMAX tickets, Whale Watch tickets, or combination tickets.

The Peabody Essex Museum grew out of the collection of East India Marine Society, an organization of Salem captains whose charter called for acquisition of “natural and artificial curiosities.” Its permanent collection contains art and artifacts of Africa, Asia, India, China (with a Qing Dynasty house brought from the Huizhou region), Japan, Korea, Pacific Islands, and features objects of maritime art and history that include paintings, drawings, ship models, marine decorative arts, tools, weapons, navigational instruments, and ship and yacht plans. It also has a thriving changing exhibition schedule that sometimes includes important traveling shows.

Each pass admits 2 visitors for $12.00 per person. The museum is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 10-5. Children 16 and under are always admitted free. Not valid for admission to Yin Yu Tang Chinese House (additional $6.00).

Located within Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, NH, the Seacoast Science Center has been providing educational experiences on behalf of New Hampshire State Parks since 1992. The center includes hands-on science exhibits (undersea exploration to marine debris), live animal exhibits which feature creatures that live in the rapidly changing Gulf of Maine ecosystem; and many special events, like “Music-by-the-Sea” concerts and “Sippin' for Seals” (dancing and drinks to support the Marine Mammal rescue Program).

The Seacoast Science Center is located at 570 Ocean Blvd. in Rye, New Hampshire.

Please note that the Center is located at Odiorne Point State Park, which charges a separate admission fee from April through September.  As of summer 2022, the admission price to Odiorne Point State Park is $4 per adult (12 and up), $2 per child (ages 6-11), while children under 6 and seniors over 65 are free.    

The pass admits two (2) adults and up to four (4) children or grandchildren to the Seacoast Science Center at 50% off the cost of regular admission.

USS Constitution Museum

The museum, a part of the Boston National Historical Park, is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard near the ship USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”) at the end of Boston’s Freedom Trail. The museum provides a detailed look at the history of the ship, information about the war of 1812, and the battle between the ship and HMS Java. Stories are told through interactive exhibits, unique artifacts, archival records, and artwork. The museum also includes a research library which houses a strong collection of manuscripts, books, artifacts, and microfilm of primary source material. The ship itself is maintained by the US Navy, and may be visited free of charge on certain days.

Pass holders will receive free admission to the museum. Each pass may be used by one party per day. Parties are limited to 9 or fewer guests. There are no advanced tickets or reservations required for entry. Admission will be on a first-come first-served basis.
