Sitting in on Zoom meetings all day? Experiencing back pain? Studies show back pain responds well to yoga. Discover ways to prevent and manage back pain using gentle yoga to improve core strength and posture. Focus on practicing postures in a way that enhances the health of the back and spine. Learn to alleviate tension in the back, body, reduce neck/back pain, and lengthen and decompress the spine. This class is designed for those new to yoga as well as seasoned practitioners. BIO:
Chris Howe is a registered RYT-200 Classical Yoga Teacher and Level 1 Restorative Yoga Teacher. Growing up constantly in motion, she embraced yoga practice and philosophy while recovering from spinal surgery to remove a cyst that had left her right leg immobilized for a short period. She enjoys sharing her journey back to physical comfort through gentle movement, mindfulness, and much humor. She is a business and marketing consultant. Chris serves as a volunteer CTO for the Veterans Yoga Project, as well as having completed their Mindful Resilience for Trauma Yoga Teacher training. Chris resides on the Massachusetts seacoast with her husband and her dog Kane and enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors and incorporating yoga principles of gratitude and mindfulness into her daily life.
