New England Primate Conservancy is an animal protection and wildlife conservation organization that makes its greatest impact through education. Using captivating graphics, videos, and live narrative, the Conservancy’s presentation includes NEPC’s story, primate conservation, the importance of biodiversity, the importance of nonhuman primates to biodiversity, and what everybody everywhere can do in their daily lives to positively impact wildlife protection and environmental conservation. You don’t have to be a scientist to be a conservationist! With over eight billion people in the world, even if millions jumped on board and did one small thing each day on behalf of conservation, the impact could be tremendous!
Speaker bio: Debra Curtin is New England Primate Conservancy’s President and Founder. In 2002, Debra left behind her 35-year career in business management, organizational and program development, training, sales, and marketing, that spanned across multiple industries, to take a life-changing plunge into the non-profit sector. Her passion for animal protection called her to apply her well-honed organizational development and leadership skills to build New England Primate Conservancy into a globally respected animal protection and conservation education organization. As well as leading the organization, Debra designed the NEPC website, develops education programs, produces educational videos, designs educational activities, and leads the talented and diverse Education Team that carries out the Conservancy’s mission to leave a legacy of hope and tools to build a better tomorrow for all the Earth’s citizens… because education is the heart of animal protection.
