Genealogy Presentation: Tales of a Family Tree Sleuth
Wednesday, February 285:00—6:00 PMThe Lois M. Anderson Community RoomThe Newbury Town Library0 Lunt St. , Byfield, MA, 01922
Ted Russell of Byfield will tell stories from his work as a professional genealogist. In doing so, he will share some tips on how to get past the brick walls in your own family history search, and how to organize the information you find to be more efficient in your research.
During a 36-year engineering career, Ted most enjoyed solving tough problems that required knowledge from diverse fields. In 2015, he founded his genealogy business, Family Tree Sleuth, where he now applies the same approach to problems requiring knowledge of geography, history, and language. He has researched ancestry in Colonial New England, but also Eastern Europe, Ireland, Germany, French Canada, and Mexico, and even did research into a client’s Apache ancestry.
