Drum for Fun, is back by popular demand, at the Newbury library! This inclusive community hand drumming program, welcomes all ages and abilities. Learn and play African beats and world music rhythms, in a fun, supportive, intimate group setting. These sessions will include instruction as well as drum circle jamming. No prior experience necessary. Drums and percussion instruments will be provided, or feel free to bring your own.

Kristine Malpica is the co-founder and Director of Imagine Studios, a performing and cultural arts nonprofit organization. She has been a community organizer, music presenter, performing percussionist, drum circle facilitator, teacher and maker on the north shore for decades. Her mission is to think globally and act locally, building community and bridges, by bringing people together through multi-cultural music and cultural events.
