Newburyport Art’s Watercolor Interest Group, in conjunction with Newbury Town Library in Byfield, hosts “Joyful Watercolors”, an exhibition of watercolors at the library from Nov. 21 to Jan. 7.

Twenty-one members of the group will exhibit work. 

MaryAnn McCarthy McCardle, exhibiting watercolorist, will complete a watercolor demonstration at the reception.

Artists will offer activities for all ages. There will be prints, cards, calendars and ornaments available at both receptions.

Come for conversation, to learn about the medium, light refreshments and to support local watercolor artists. Free and handicapped accessible. This exhibit is possible in part due to a Massachusetts Cultural Council grant.

The library is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is at 0 Lunt St., Byfield.
