Do you and your children love to travel, but just can't find the time? Newbury Town Library has the perfect opportunity for you! Join Ms. Kady, NTL's Youth Services Associate, as she travels around the world to a new place each month, right from the comfort of your own home! Around the World with Ms. Kady is a self-paced, monthly video series with take-home craft kits for your children to do at their leisure. The video and craft will be available from the first of the month to the end of the month. 

This April, we'll be traveling back in time to a place famous for gladiators and Caesar salad- Ancient Rome! (Just kidding about the salad.) By watching her YouTube video, you'll meet some Ancient gods and goddesses, see what an Ancient Roman meal looked like, and you might even learn a phrase in Latin. At the end, Ms. Kady will show you how to make your own Roman mosaic. Mosaic craft kits can be picked up at the Children's Desk, no registration required. Important note- this month's craft includes pieces of stained glass, so it is not recommended for anyone under 8. Adult supervision is recommended.
